Changing Your World Ministries is one of the most beautiful churches we have ever seen and even with all it's glamour, every room decorated sooo beautifully, it still makes you feel right at home, your presence (Apostle Forman and Pastor Littleton) just says welcome as well as the atmosphere of the church JUST SAYS WELCOME! And we appreciated that coming to a place where we've never been before! We enjoyed everybody on the program especially Earl of the Cork Singers, he brought the spirit down all by himself! Always enjoy hearing the Cork Singers, but he did it by himself this time! It was great to see our great friend Evangelist Sarah Hall (thanks for bringing us to the floor!) and it was good to see our good friend Betty Bland and her sister. Bell Singers in Birmingham AL for AGQC!!! - February 17, 2010

First of all, I give God the Glory, the Honor and the Praise for allowing us to attend the AGQC another year. I'm a little late with my thoughts, been very busy but the AGQC has been lingering in my heart and thoughts since we left there.

The Bell Singers who attended this year were: Mrs. Dora Bell, Stella Alexander, Linda Ellis and Patricia Artison. Musicians were: Danny Bell, Manuel Somerville and Calvin Hopson. What an awesome time we had, yet again! If you missed it, I tell you it is a must that you make plans for next year! I truly enjoyed the singing ministry of many whom I have never seen before and some that I have. The Bell Singers had the opportunity to minister in song on Wednesday night, January 20th. We were so grateful to have our mom with us of age 83 and she lead one of the songs "All of My Help comes from the Lord! The other two songs were: "Sit Down with Jesus"- lead by yours truly and "Wait on Jesus"- lead by my sister Linda. And on Friday Night we had the opportunity to do a tribute to Mrs. Clara Ward of the Clara Ward Singers! We sung "How I Got Over! WOW!

The classes were just great! I had a chance to attend two classes, the one taught on Thursday morning was taught by Dr. Ella Mahmoud on the do's and don'ts of being a Promoter. Very interesting, great materials and very informative. We even got a bag of goodies of candy and all kind of snacks which came in very handy during those long days. Well put together as her stuff always is. And then on Friday morning, I attended the class taught by Minister George Stewart himself! My oh my oh my! We had a Holy Ghost filled time in CLASS!!! We did not want to leave out, people kept coming to get us so we could return to the Sanctuary and we were just not moving until he finished!! We talked about the difference between Souls Ministry and Business Ministry. It is just too much to tell you just had to be there. All I can say is that the ones who were present, you know what I mean and I'm sure your life has not been the same after what you heard and learned in that class! Hallelujah!! All I can say that he needs a BIGGER SPACE next year and 2 days so that more can hear this. Or Minister Stewart if you are reading this, CARVE OUT A WHOLE SECTION OF THE CONVENTION so that everyone can feed off of this good information at the same time. It is something that ALL groups need to hear! How bout that! (Smile) But seriously!!!

The honoring of the women of the industry and mothers of Quartet Groups was just fantastic! And to see my own mother up there (Mrs. Dora Mae Bell) being honored was just the icing on the cake. It was just so exciting to see soo many that I knew being honored. Don't want to start listing names because I might miss a few. But I must mention One in particular who was so elated that she burst out into tears "Mama Tena Mebane Alexander, a Promoter who is a friend of mine and who is legally blind out of a little town called Drummonds, TN. She deserves this award and thanks to Dr. Ella Mahmoud, who submitted her name, she received it. And because she had no idea her name was even on the list made it even more special. So she cried! And made all the rest of us cry along with her! Thanks Dr. Mahmoud and AGQC!!!

Now another highlight of the Convention for me was the stage play entitled "Ain't No Fool Like An old Fool". Lord have mercy! You have got to see this stage play! It made you laugh, cry, angry, sad and happy all in one. All of the emotions came out! This play brought out some moves you thought you would never see Minister George Stewart do, Lord Jesus I am still laughing everytime I think about it. After the play was over every time I saw Minister Stewart, all I wanted to do was just burst out and go to laughing! He played his part I tell you. You just got to see it for yourself! Book the stageplay in your town, I dare you! You'll see what I mean! LOL!!

Hats off to Dr. Jackie and Min. George W. Stewart and the entire staff of The American Gospel Quartet Convention for a job well done again!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank a few people who decided to come along to the convention with the Bell Singers this year such as: Rosa Dennis, Tena Alexander, Peggy Lawson, Linda Bynum, MaQuitta Curry, Tonya Morris, Beverly Bell and Mary A. Hughes-Goldsberry. Thanks for coming with us and hopefully you are making plans to return in January 2011!

God Bless you!
Pat Artison of The Bell Singers of Memphis, Tennessee

Linda Ellis' Review of what she got out of going to the AGQC:

All Praises to God for allowing this wonderful occasion to continue to go on year after year. I look forward to going to the AGQC every year, because I get a renewing spirit when I attend the different classes and listening to God's powerful and anointed speakers. My soul is revived from the many influential messages from God. I challenge every quartet group each year to plan to attend the next year. There is so much information to take in that will better your group or organization. Elder Stewart and his staff are doing an excellent job putting these conventions together each year. He is determined to get the "Quarteters" saved. If it is God's will, I plan to be in the midst of it all on next year.

Review of The Bell Singers Big 36th Anniversary Celebration!! - November 10, 2009

If you missed The Bell Singers Big 36th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday November 8th, well, you missed a treat! The Anniversary was off the chain from the Beginning to the End, if I must say so myself and I do! (Smile) It was a success both SPIRITUALLY and FINANCIALLY.

Antonio Rogers kicked off the devotion in a high spirited way, the program was bound to be a success. This young man is a powerhouse all my himself. If you want a spirit filled devotion or just a spirit filled young man to appear on your program, then ANTONIO ROGERS is the man to call. I would be happy to get you in contact with him or any of the groups that was on this program. After that powerful devotion then came our 1st guest group called CHUNKY AND THE BOYS from Helena, AR - if these little boys didn't sing I'll pay ya! They are somebody to see, I think they range from ages 9 to 11 or 12 years old, it's four of them. Chunky is 9 and is the powerful little lead singer, a MUST SEE AND HEAR! Then we had a SURPRISE group to come up next and we wouldn't tell anyone who they were until the night of the program. They turned out to be The Bell Singers' Musicians (Manuel Somerville, Calvin Hopson, Willie Artison, Billie Adams and Benjamin Halliburton) They shocked everyone! They really did a tremendous job and they called themselves "THE CONNECTION". Then came THE MIGHTY KINGS OF HARMONY of Memphis, TN, who always do a great job giving God the Praise! Up next was a group called "THE APPOINTED" of Memphis, TN these young men have only been singing a short period of time, but you can't tell, they hit the floor like a pro! Hitting those high notes had the audience on their feet. Then came those hard hitting ladies "THE SUPREME HARMONETTES" of Olive Branch, MS. WOW! I love to hear these ladies sing, they always give God all they got and more, they also left the crowd on their feet! After them came "THE TRAVELING STARS" of Memphis, TN, my oh my they came to lift up the name of Jesus!

Then came the honorees "THE BELL SINGERS" dressed in Black with rhinestones arranged all across the front of the dress with flared sleeves with accented rhinestones with same design on bottom of skirt with matching Black shoes with rhinestones on them. Black towel with silver trimming and beautiful rhinestones earrings and necklace. We was clean yall if I have to say so myself and I do! (Smile) We hit the floor with a song called "Anybody working for Jesus?". Then we did an accapalla song called "Come Out of that Corner, You can't Hide", next our Brother, Rev. Danny Bell and my sister Linda sung a song called "Lord, you been so good to me". Then we sung "Never lost a friend I've never had, because I've got Jesus and that's enough"and we closed out with a drive called "God Is Wonderful". The Spirit was in the place all night!

Then our Special Guest "THE CORK SINGERS" of Greenville, MS took us home and my oh my Earl and the Cork Singers took us home in a Big way! Memphis is still talking about how they ministered. The Cork Singers are one of my favorite groups and we were honored to have them be a part of our anniversary this year. Great job fellas!!

I Want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who came near and far to share with the Bell Singers on our 36th Anniversary Celebration, I don't want to start listing names because I might miss someone but if you were there we want to thank you from the Bottom of our hearts and if you weren't there and sent well wishes we thank you too. I have to send out a special thanks to our MC, the Dean of Gospel, Bro. James Chambers for a job well done!

God Bless you all!! From Pat & The Bell Singers of Memphis, Tennessee!!!
